The fact that they keep people on death row on suicide watch is fucking weird and emphasises the barbarism of the death penalty.
It’s not enough to want the person dead, they want to be the ones killing them.
I think it really has way more to with the fact that at any point while on death row, there is a possibility that a stay of execution can be granted, the appeal process can be successful, or new evidence can surface that may get the person acquitted.
